This is........the contents of my handbag

I tend to swap handbags a lot depending on where I'm off to and what I need to fit into them.
At the moment, it's just the essentials.....purse, mobile phone, keys, lip balm, smencil, money, old receipts that I haven't cleaned out, zipper pouch (full of tissues) from Crafty Bits and Bobs, babushkas pencil case (perfect size for my MP3 player) from Mikes, and my handbag made by me using Jodies fab tutorial.
To see who else is playing along, go check out Angela's blog and thanks to Sharon from Iris & Lily for this weeks very revealing suggestion!
Update: I decided to check all my receipts before I threw them in the bin. They tell the story of where I've been in the last week.......Mikes, multiple Op Shops, Spotlight, Australia Post, and the supermarket!

  1. What a cute bag and even better you made it yourself. I am so looking forward to figuring out my sewing machine and taking some lessons. I think it will open up a whole new world for me. I only hope I can get to be half as good as most of the people playing this is , you guys are great sewers and that gives me a ton of inspiration. :)
    Cheers Kyla

  3. You have lots of great goodies in your handbag. I love that bag too. Very clever. Thanks for the link - I am trying to make a handbag myself at the moment so that will be most helpful.

I saw that you tagged me by the way. Thanks. I will have to get on to it this week.

  8. Love the bag. What a nice surprise to see the zipper pouch in action. Glad that is has been useful. How long did the choccie eggs last? In my place they would have vanished rapidly as I have a huge weakness for choccies but am trying hard to give them up.

  14. Great bag you made there! I tend to put my receipts in my fruit basket when I get home so there isn't any in my handbag. Otherwise I suspect there would be quite a few there!
