Oh so quiet...

Here's something I made earlier....

There's been a serious lack of crafting in my house this week, no energy, no mojo, no new ideas - but I think that I've finally turned the corner today!

After my rant about Spotlight, and lots of comments regarding very similar experiences, I must thank Nikki for letting me know about Embroidery Source. I ordered some water soluble stabiliser on Wednesday and it arrived yesterday. Now I can get back to some more weird and wonderful crazy stitching ideas!

I'm having a few internet issues at the moment (Telstra wireless is extremely slow in the evenings), so I haven't been commenting as much as usual, but I'm still reading.... just very s.l.o.w.l.y

  7. I know how you feel, I haven't exactly lost that loving feeling (for craft) but its certainly slower around here!

Might be because I have 2 sick kids at home this week, maybe...

love the word verification on this comment; nudge!

Consider yourself nudged back into the crafting mojo... LOL

  8. I just read the comments and I agree with chunkychooky - I think spotlight should be employing people with knowledge (sometimes I think I should work there) because I'm always waiting ages in queues because someone asks a question and the person at the counter doesn't have a clue! I think at the very least they should be given training on simple techniques.

  11. It's gorgeous - now for a stupid question that you have already answered but... Is it machine or hand sewn?

  12. So happy that Embroidery Source did the trick for you. I'm a big fan of them.

Free-machine embroidery is a tad addictive, isn't it?

  13. That flower is gorgeous!

As soon as I read the title of your blog I immediately though of Bjork... "It is oh so quiet, it is oh so still, you're all alone and then starts another big riot". Or something like that. Great song!

  16. I had another trying Spotlight moment yesterday....how hard is to add up 30 buttons at 25c each????
And they only pay minimum wage. And they never have any thing you want.
Why do we still give them our custom?
Nice free style stichin' by the way

  17. Yeah. Spotlight schmotlight. Usually not a good customer experience! I often come out of there not having gotten what I wanted in the first place. Sigh.......

Beautiful work! I will have to check out those links. Cool!

  18. Hi Cam!

My bag had it's first outing on my trip up to Sydney for The Finders Keepers.

BadSkirt Amy said she loved my bag and asked where I had gotten it from. CurlyPops of course!!
