My youngest nephew was christened yesterday so I made him some handmade bibs for a christening pressie. He's about six and a half months old now and he's getting more dribbly so these are in a larger size (perfect for soaking up lots of dribbly bits)!

This was my contribution to the christening feast......choc truffle balls, caramel & choc chip slice, and lemon slice.....
In completely unrelated news, I saw this sidewinder on My Cottage Life blog. You can use it to fill bobbins away from the sewing machine. Susan found it at Walmart. Has anybody in Australia seen one of these in the shops?
Mmm, feel free to bring any sort of slice to Brown Owls with you!
ReplyDeleteThe bobbin winder thing should be at Lincraft, it was in the last brochure I got from them. About $30I think.
ack, there's supposed to be a space there. Thirty, not 301.
ReplyDeleteHere ya go:

ReplyDeleteI do love the camo bib will be especially good for hiding all of the green spills!
Mmmm that choc chip caramel slice looks yummy. I saw those bobbin windy things are Spotlight recently. I think it was cheaper than $30
ReplyDeleteWhat a great aunty you are! The bibs look fantastic, and that food is making me drool!!!
ReplyDeleteDelicious! How good does that look, I want some right now!
ReplyDeleteI have definitely seen those bobbin winders recently so it must have been in Spotlight. I was at my cousin's daughter's christening yesterday but they didn't have any of those yummy treats.
ReplyDeleteYummo Lemon Slice !! And Scallywag & Bumper say hello to you Ms Curly Pops
ReplyDeleteLove those bibs! The Caramel and Choc Chip slice looks awfully tempting!
ReplyDeleteThat sidewinder thingo looks like a useful gadget. One of my pet hates is having to unthread the machine to fill bobbins.
ReplyDeleteSuch yummy looking food!
I learnt how to wind a bobbin for the very first time on the weekend (except in year 8, but that's so long ago that it doesn't count)... Can you tell i'm using mum's sewing machine but mum's on holidays? PS: Those choc truffle balls look divine!
ReplyDeleteLove the bibs, I used to make a lot of bibs when my kids were babies.
ReplyDeleteThose bibs are so cute. Nice job..and you are making my mouth water with all that yummy food..
