This sweet little birdy in a cage arrived in my mailbox yesterday all the way from chilly Ballarat!
I won him / her in Jodies retrospective been away giveaway earlier this week.....so to celebrate, I'm having a Name That Birdy giveaway.....
All you have to do to enter is to leave a comment with a name for the Birdy..... I have no gender bias, the birdy could be a boy or a girl (if anyone knows how to tell the sex of the birdy then please let me know). I will get Mr CurlyPops to pick his favourite name so there is no bias from me.
The winner will receive an apron and a potholder made by me, and some chocolate not made by me. The winner will be chosen Monday night.
There are lots of other bloggy giveaways happening at the moment too so make sure to check out: Lino Forest and Silly Gilly especially if you like vintage items.....
My 5 year old thinks it should be called "Flyaway"
ReplyDeleteOkily Dokily...
ReplyDeleteHere's some names I've come up with, starting with B as fitting a birdie.
Bertha.. hold on they get better
Blythe (means happy)
Betsy
Beauregard (beautiful, handsome)
Bonnibel (good and beautiful)
Budgie (obvious there)
Beatrice
Hmm, we'll see what Mr Curlypops thinks.
ps thanks for the link!
I vote for ' birdy num num' from the movie 'the party
ReplyDeleteGoing with the 'get the kids to name the bird' idea, Master six says Michael, and Miss 2 says 'dog'. Fingers crossed!! (These are kids that named the chooks: chook, chook-chook and trevor)...
ReplyDeleteThis bird looks like a Fred to me.
ReplyDeleteMr. Harriman the Second. :P
ReplyDeleteHow about Flossy???
ReplyDeleteCongrats on winning such a lovely birdie. My name choices are Freda (that's what my budgie was called, loved Abba) or Harvey.
ReplyDeleteI say, Captain Barnaby
ReplyDeleteMy budgie when I was a kid was called Curly! I think yours should be named Miss Curly in honour of yourself.
ReplyDeleteThere's something French about him in my view - his name shall be "Monsier Oiseau".
ReplyDeletehow about poppy???
ReplyDeleteour ideas are:
ReplyDeleteMr Henry Ford
Miss Sunday Roast
Miss Green Budgie
Hope that helps
May I suggest 'Errol'?
ReplyDeleteRibbon the Robin,
ReplyDeleteCotton Canary,
Button the Budgie,
I'll stop now....
Walter. Definitely Walter.
ReplyDeleteSpunk.
ReplyDeleteAnybird with that much chirp has got to be Spunk.
This may not be very original, and it is a bit cliche, but the bird just looks like a "Tweety Bird" to me. Of course this is coming from someone who named their cats Kitty and Ritalin (hyper cat) and pet bunny Charmin, after the toilet paper!
ReplyDeleteMy suggestion is for "Drumsticks". Or "Millet".
ReplyDeletefirstly, what a supercute birdy...I like the name beak for a birdy :)
ReplyDeleteMy 13 year old called her cockatiel 'Eggins' after the local bus line - I don't know why, she just fell in love with it. Now we just call her 'Eggy" and it really does suit so I am offering the names Eggy or Eggins for you little feathered friend. Cherrie
ReplyDeleteBrad... after Brad Pitt.
ReplyDeleteRobin - something a bit Red Robinesque about him.. I think its a him!
ReplyDeleteBruce!
