It's been a UFO for about a month now because I'm hand stitching the felt and vinyl flowers (and it takes fooooorrrreeevvver)!
If I ever finish this one, it's going to be made into a new apron for me.

Crikey Ms Pops, that's one groovy apron!!
ReplyDeleteHand sewing all those flowers? Wow! They are going to look beautiful on an apron.
ReplyDeleteLove those applique shapes - the apron will be well worth the hand stitching
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely colour combination for your very stunning apron to be!
ReplyDeleteThat is very cool - can't wait to see the apron in action! Loving the flowers. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAh yes the "by hand" bit always takes so long but worth it in the end. These flowers look terrific.
ReplyDeleteLooks like it will make a fabulous apron :)
ReplyDeletebeautiful. So Circa 1968!
ReplyDeleteHandsewing vinyl doesn't sound like a whole lot of fun, but I'm sure the result will be great!! Looking good already!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Get it finished - it will look devine on!!!
ReplyDeleteLoved your Vinnie finds! And my oh my those little birdies are flying around blogland. That Jodie is a wiz. Loved the name.
ReplyDeleteHand sewing felt and vinyl...I think I feel a headache coming on. Nice color combos tho. So in September we see the apron?!?!?
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing the UFO as a FO! It's looking great.
ReplyDeleteHey, dumb question time... I've never really worked with felt before (except on a Miss Buttons) - can you just cut it out and stitch it to something without worrying about finishing or securing the edges? (I really am game asking this... but you don't know what you don't know hey?)
ReplyDeleteThose flowers are stunning. Can't wait to see the finished item. (And I'm very jealous of your pincushion collection - I stick my pins in my shirt when I'm sewing)
