Progress
One of the things that I love the most about crafting, is to just go freestyle and try to make what I can visualise in my head. It's not always successful - many things end up in the bin..... but sometimes it actually works.
So when my girlfriend requests various ears and tails for the dress up box for christmas, I say "Sure, I can make that", when I really have no idea if I can or not. But, I've had the picture in my head for a little while now, and today it was time to give it a go..... just don't ask me what type of animal it's supposed to be ok!
Love them!! I am thinking, a commando fox after the hunter tables turned he he he.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a donkey to me!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking a donkey from Pinnochio. Looks great byt the way. Cherrie
ReplyDeleteThey look like someone's going to have a lot of fun with them - great work!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of a creature that belongs in the book where the wild things are.
ReplyDeleteThey look fabulous Cam! Lots of fun going to be had with those!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking donkey too. Great work whatever it is :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the lucky recipient will have plenty of ideas for what type of animal it is. You are one clever crafter, I think it is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI immediately thought big bad wolf!! They are great!
ReplyDeleteI would have loved to have a tail as a child. As a matter of fact, I still wish I had a tail! :)
I don't think it MATTERS what type of animal it is - someone is going to use their imagination and have a great time.
ReplyDeleteaww these are gorgeous! they remind me of "where the wild things are"!!!
ReplyDeleteI assumed it was a 'Where The Wild Things Are' costume!
ReplyDeleteoh yes definitely donkey... the ears could be a bunny's... the tail could be a dinosaur, a fat mouse, dogs, a cats. That's the beauty of it, the can make believe they're anything! xo m.
ReplyDeleteCam I think that It is great that they are not any particular animal/creature - imagination is a dying art for children these days. Electronic games and TV do the thinking for many. Imaginative play rocks!
ReplyDeleteSometimes it's all a bit of guesswork, but it all turns out in the end. And these look so adorable!
ReplyDeleteA nice reminder for me to try a bit of freestyle! Thanks.
Donkey! Love 'em. What a fun challenge. I love freestyling too!
ReplyDeletethose are great :D hmm would it be sad that i'd wear them? lol
ReplyDeleteWell, that's not a donkey tail, so i'm going to go dog/wolf. So cute!
ReplyDeleteThe kids wond't care - let their imaginations go free! I think they look wonderful.
