An apple a day

Liesl will never believe me (come to think of it, anybody who knows me won't believe it) if I don't provide documentary evidence, but I actually took Kitty's advice.

Instead of buying myself a chocolate bar at the cafeteria...... I actually bought FRUIT.

Now of course, just buying the fruit is only the first piece of the puzzle. Liesl wouldn't believe it unless she could see documentary evidence that I would actually eat said pieces of FRUIT.

So Liesl, I give you an empty banana skin.

I'm just wondering whether this makes up for the Honey Cakes, Honey Jumbles, Twisties, Fruit and Nut Chocolate, and Crunchy Caramel chocolate that Cathie treated me too???

  1. All I see is evidence that you got rid of the banana. I don't see any proof that you ate it.

I think we might need a video of you eating a banana or apple to convince those of us who know you well.

  2. Yes, it does over ride all other food sins with a ratio of 10:1 if you eat 10 bad things 1 peice of fruit makes up for it. but I am a banana freak and eat one every day.

  3. I believe you Cam.
I agree with Cath, fruit makes up for all over indulgences.
Nothing like a bit of chocolate though. Mmmm.

  4. Of course it does. Without eating that banana your body would not have begun to enjoy all that "Vitamins and minerals are abundant in the banana, offering 123 I.U. of vitamin A for the large size. A full range of B vitamins are present with .07 mg of Thiamine, .15 mg of Riboflavin, .82 mg Niacin, .88 mg vitamin B6, and 29 mcg of Folic Acid. There are even 13.8 mg of vitamin C. On the mineral scale Calcium counts in at 9.2 mg, Magnesium 44.1 mg, with trace amounts of iron and zinc.

Putting all of the nutritional figures together clearly shows the banana is among the healthiest of fruits. "
And so of course it counter balances all the other stuff. Cherrie

  6. Ah touche, Tinniegirl!

Cam I think in the next post, you need to provide a photo of the contents of the waste bin!

  7. I always felt that there was inadequate fruit supplied for proper nutrition when I was in the hospital after having each of my boys.

  8. Well as a scientist I have to agree that this is not strictly evidence that the banana has in fact been consumed...however, I have to believe you ate it, rather than you having to photograph the contents of your mouth mid-chew. Eww. Now, the challenge: do it again tomorrow.

  9. I've spotted an error in the treats to be counterbalanced list - Fruit & Nut Chocolate counterbalances itself, as the name suggests. The fruit and nuts obviously cancel out any badness that MIGHT be contained in the chocolate!

  10. What a sweetie that Cathie is. That haul would have cheered me up too! (haven't heard of the crunchy caramel choc tho!)

  11. I'm such a sweet tooth & shocking at eating fruit, it doesn't even come to mind most of the time. So good for you, it can only do good...

  12. An apple a day keeps the doctor away. But if the doc is cute then screw the fruit!!!!

  13. Sorry Cam, I'm with Tinniegirl and Liesl - where's the evidence girl? Although, in your defence, I have seen you enjoy a vegetable. Once. And it was cooked with an awful lot of sugar!
