Getting Quilty

It's not very often that I take on a challenge of making a quilt..... but little bubba Lucas who turned one on the weekend, has a very lovely auntie who asked me to make one for him.

The request was for something bright and colourful so it can be used as a pram quilt or a playmat. Luckily, bright and colourful just so happens to be right up my alley.

I had a few prints from the Michael Miller Bot-Camp range in the stash which I absolutely adore. I added in the various polkadots to add some more pop!

Keeping with the space theme, I added some stars as a backing fabric.....

Happy Birthday little Lucas!

  7. That starry one is a Spotlight number isn't it? I bought seven versions for my wonky star quilt.

  22. That quilt is just lovely and gladdens my heart because so many people try to make things boring and bland for little boys and why shouldn't they have riotous colour in their lives, hmm?
