Here Chook Chook

Did you ever used to wander around the backyard as a kid yelling out "Here Chook Chook" with a handful of stale bread?

Gosh that brings back some memories!

The very lovely Vic shared her Chook drawing with me this week.....

.... and now 'Here Chook Chook' has been CurlyPops'ed.... poor technicolour chicken. I wonder what colour eggs it lays?

  1. We still do that, but as our chooks are still new, they are less likely to come when called than they are to cower in the hen house.

As for the eggs - fabergé, surely?

  3. You just reminded me I haven't fed the chooks yet! Better go before they get cranky. They're not quite as colourful as yours!

  8. Yep! I had invisible chickens living in my backyard. For some reason I was the only one who could see them. So it was left up to me to feed them.

  9. Love those stripey legs! Mum always says she would send me out with the stale bread, but I would eat it before I got to the chook house! Thank goodness my kids don't do that with our chooks!

  10. It's really interesting to see the progression from black and white to colour. Thanks for sharing that.Your designs would look fabulous translated into mosaics too. Something to try (if you haven't already) when you get some spare time....And last count we have 9 happy chooks too.
