My Creative Space

No fun creativity here... just trying to get quotes for some kitchen modifications to prevent my oxygen from sending me up in flames when I cook....

Hopefully there's something much more interesting going on here!

PS - I'm already struggling to keep up with Blogtoberfest. My google reader has gone crazy and there haven't been enough hours in the day to visit everyone, but I have been reading - never fear! I'm hoping to make my way through the list to visit everyone by the end of the month!

  1. Oh. Headache. Poor Cam....
If you're splurging on a new kitchen, you should get one of those ovens that self-clean... I'm hoping to get one of those for the new house.

  2. Wow, a new kitchen is a fabulous thing. A bit like childbirth - an ugly process to get through but wonderful when it is all done and finished!
    Goodluck with the "pushing".

  4. Oh dear, we don't want Cam to go up in smoke! I hope your modifications can be done quickly. Our stove top and oven died last month (in Aus) the first month our tenants moved in, and it is a nightmare to get replaced (slacker tradies the real estate has), our poor tenant cant cook and I feel awful.

  5. Going green with jealousy here ... I'd love a new kitchen but I'm sure my landlord won't play ball. Hope you get it all sorted out so you can cook safely.

  6. That sounds like the most important creative space on the entire list! Don't want you to become the Masterchef fireball!

  10. For some reason I hate the word 'joinery'. It sounds so fake. I'd like to know what the difference is between joinery and cabinetry, and if there isn't one I want the word 'joinery' deleted forever.

  13. How exciting! Sounds like it's a must on your to do list, if going up in smoke is the alternative. Do stay safe in the meantime (if I may say so - am sure you are very practised in the art of cooking safely anyway).

I don't know anything about induction or ceramic or anything.... the whole job seems overwhelming to me so I'm glad I can't afford to renovate my kitchen :-) I made a kitchen out of what was the sunroom in my house... so it's Ikea cabinets (not even the groovy 'not meant to be screwed to the walls' ones!). Good thing I don't cook much anymore either!

    Go well!
