Yesterday was one of those perfect days.... no plans, nowhere to be, no-one to see.
Time to just potter about the house, listening to some tunes.
Amongst the pottering, I spent some time admiring my
busted stash, where I just so happened to find a lovely hand screen printed tea towel that I
bought at the Design Market in 2008.
It's now a super swanky handbag, just as I'd
originally planned....
This one is heading to my next market, and there may be a few more too!
You're a very clever lady! As much as I love gorgeous tea towels it's such a shame to leave them hanging on my oven door. This one definitely deserved better. Love the print. It's makes a fabulous bag.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great use of a tea towel. You are so clever and motivated!

ReplyDeleteI can't believe you can bear to part with that! I'm going to follow your links and see if I can find out who made the tea towel.
ReplyDeleteSerene seems to be the word for this bag too. Love hte soft texture in the fabric too. Cherrie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! That fabric is far too nice to be used for wiping dishes!
ReplyDeleteLovely handbag! I love the way that you have the contrast between the linen teatowel and denim trims. Good work!
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous - when I saw the pic first I thought the fabric was very cool. Why waste it on a tea towel. Great use.
ReplyDeleteGreat bag! I'd want to keep it for myself. :)

ReplyDeleteI can sew, but I want that bag. Please, if you put it in your shop (instead of the market), can you tell only me? Or email me directly? Good grief. I know how hard it can be to build up stock for a market when people want to buy it out from under you, so feel free to ignore this comment, or just email me...
