My little Swiney

I just so happened to win the funniest giveaway in blogland last week over at Clutterpunk.

If you know me in real life, then you'll realise that it's quite hilarious and ironic that I won a Swiney Softie which has been modelled on a cross-section of the swine flu virus.

From Gina:
"it's virologically accurate, from the cute green neuraminidases and swanky red haemagglutinin right down to the 8 strands of RNA in the middle"

So, just what should I do with my sweet little Swiney? I'm thinking of adding a brooch clasp and wearing to my next doctors appointment, just to see if he dares to ask me "what the"?

Gina also included a gorgeous piece of retro kitchen fabric.... the brain is whirring.... can you hear it?

Maybe use it as the front of your swine mask next time you fly.

Precisely what I did with mine - wore it to the 'Winter Festival' where it could find like-minded lergies to mix with (the whole school was there)...

Hoping you manage to stay far far away from the real thing! He's cute because he's not "real" LOL!!

so funny! It could make a pin cushion maybe? That kitchen fabric is awesome. I can see it in an apron or if there's enough a tablecloth.

Enjoying your blog.

I just posted some sweet little quick and easy little sundresses I made for my 8 year old daughter with instructions on how to do it yourself, and I recently made a maxi dress for myself from a 1974 pattern I found in an antique store.

Trudy

Aww, shucks everyone for the Swiney love!
I had planned on turning all the swineys into brooches but my local large craft store has not stocked any brooch clasps or pins for over a month now!! But this way you get to choose your own Swiney adventure... I could send you another one and you could have the most outlandish earrings around?!

That's hilarious! Love the swiney :)

You could use it making a mobile, so you'll have swiney "hanging over your head"! ;-)

IF you're going to wear it to your doctor and he's brave enough to ask about it, please share his reaction!

A swineflu softie. That's the coolest thing I've heard of all week!

Maybe the idea is to protect you from the real thing? I would love to hear about your doctor's reaction.
