I promised LOOT

Softies by Ric Rac

The sign of a great weekend away is when you arrive home with lots of loot that makes you happy.

Date Planner and Stitching Kit by Kootoyoo

It's really nice to be able to see handmade goodies up close, when you've only seen them in photos previously.

Clockwise from top left - Thaw Magazine, Stitched Card by Pepperberry & Co, Lavender Heart and Hairclip by Dandelion (there is another hairclip but I'm wearing it in my hair already), Acoustic CD by Geoffrey Williams

I really tried to restrain myself..... but it seems that resistance was futile.

Vintage placemat set, and jingle bells from Blonde Vintage, Knitting Nancy from Lark

I did use the excuse that some of my purchases were Christmas pressies.

Cushion and Vintage Biscuit Tin from Dear Prudence

But, to tell you the truth..... most of it was for me!

It seems that I even have my dad collecting for me now. He picked up these old flour sacks at the Sunday Market at the Ballarat Racecourse.....score!

Nice haul Cam. I'm just regretting I didn't make more purchases..I keep thinking of other lovely bits I should have/could have indulged in. Kooytoyoo's planner should have found it's way home with me that's for sure. Oh well, another disorganised year ahead, silly me! xo

Hmmm. I also like the look of that planner and what is in the stitching kit...emergency chocolate rations and needles, perhaps. I love it when my family spots for me, too. More eyes = more treasures! I think you deserve the treats!

Wow, what a haul. I was very restrained, would have loved more. I got a stitch tin too, we have to have a quiet day together stitchin' and bitchin' haha. BTW can't do Thurs so will get stuff mailed. Have to start bag!!!

That haul is FANTASTIC! I'm off to Finders Keepers in Sydney this weekend - hope I can find loot as good as this! (although Jodie won't be there, so I doubt it)

Way to go Ms Pops! I think you were channelling my sort of buying. I would have come up with all sorts of post rationalisation for them too.

Um. Way to go on signing up Dad!

Oh lucky you, my Dad called to ask me if I wanted the spare wheely bin form Grandma's house... Not the same really :)

What a great score….A Dad who collects such lovely bits and pieces full of potential for you! The loot you scored looks fabulous too. You’ve been such a busy girl lately, I think you deserve lots of little treats.

I love those flour sacks! Just a quick tip- the ink may come out in the wash, you might want to do a trial run. My friend made some things out of them when we were at school and after the first wash they just looked like plain calico. If that happens to yours, perhaps there's a product like ink jet set?
