Time Out

That was just what I needed.

I've been moving along full steam ahead for quite a long time now, but I finally reached a point where my head still said YES but the rest of me said NO WAY NELLIE....  (or maybe that should be NO WAY CURLYPOPS).

So I took a couple of days to sit on the couch and just chill, all by myself.

Probably not the greatest idea when things are so busy, but completely necessary all the same.

I'm all refreshed again now, and ready to start stocking up on goodies to take to the markets. This week, I have the Kris Kringle Night markets at the Northcote Town Hall on Thursday night from 5.30 - 10.30 PM, and then I have the Daylesford Market on Saturday at the Daylesford Town Hall from 10 AM - 4 PM.

The photos are a little birthday pressie that I whipped up to add to a special little girls dress up box. I used a shower curtain to make the cape, so there's a lovely whooshy sound to it.... perfect for a bit of make believe / create your own imaginary superhero action.

Now it's time to bunker down on the sewing machine - perfect weather for it today!

Oh, I bet she will love it. Really cute, that crown and cape. Great idea by the way. I should make some more dress up clothes too. I will, if I ever finish my coat :S

Good to hear you are rested and newly energized. I hope you'll have a wonderful day sewing!

Sounds perfect! Its so hard to really listen to yourself and slow down when you've got so much on but then it so worth it when you do and then you feel so much better. Loving that crown.

I wondered where you were. I had a inkling that you might be sitting on the couch watching TV. Glad to hear you took a well earned break, and are raring to go again.

Great that you managed a break this week. Sometimes it is necessary to just stop and disappear to recharge your batteries. Will miss you at the Northside Market this weekend. Hope Daylesford goes well for you.

I'm glad you had a break! Things were sounding just a tad busy at your place.

Hope the break does the trick, and I hope the markets do really well!

I know exactly what you mean! I reached that point a week or so ago and took a couple of days out to get away, chill, relax and recharge the batteries. It is SO hard to do when you're so busy, but you just have to make some time don't you?

Good on you, and full steam ahead now.

very glad to hear that you are listening to your self. Self can be very wise if we give her a chance to talk sometimes!

Yahoo to some butt on couch time Nellie, I mean Curlypops! The truth about being busy is that you probably will always be, so making yourself take time out is a smart move.

Love that crown and cool idea to use a shower curtain to make a whooshy cape.

Being a superhero yourself, you'd understand the importance of a cape with whoosh.

Hello :-D I'm so glad you liked the thingies - I like all your thingies, every single one of them. That cape is fantastic and will, I'm sure, be swooshing its way through many an adventure and mission.

Good for you for having a rest - sometimes we all need to do that, so save our sanity. Good luck for the markets - I hope you do really well.

Hey Cam, loved having a big catch up with all the goings on at Curly Pops world! Congrats on Dear Gladys (my grannies name!) and all of your markets.

So very mature and responsible of you to listen to your body and have a good break. Hope you're feeling energised for the month ahead.

My girls would adore those dress-ups!

very cute! I also simply had to have some time out on the weekend when I should have been sewing, sometimes we just get exhausted!
