Questionable or just plain Bizarre?

This post is totally unrelated to craft, but I just had to share.

I'm working on getting rid of my dodgy wireless internet and re-connecting to ADSL2+. The first step was to get the home phone line connected. I'm not actually going to use the phone line to make any calls. I probably won't even have a phone plugged in, but I just needed the line.

I had to wait for a week for a technician to come out and visit, as something wasn't connected properly in the hole in the ground further up the street from my house. He had it sorted in 5 minutes flat, so it's all ready to go.

On Friday, I opened up the letterbox and found a Telstra invoice.... so I opened it and found....

Yes - it's an invoice for the grand total of $0.00. Do I keep it or do I just throw it out? I'm confused!

Yesterday I arrived home and checked the mail and found an invoice from my medical oxygen supplier. With each invoice, I usually receive a printed flyer advertising medical / oxygen equipment that they supply.

They've recently been taken over by Supagas, so this is what I received with my invoice....

I can't imagine that too many oxygen dependant customers will be taking up the Fabulous February deal of a fantastic new welder and a free roll of mig wire!

My final random rant for today -  I love Cottees Cordial but...

...this is just a step too far

hehe! Go the Kemppi Cam, can't you see it's for the "Joy of Welding" that must appeal to oxygen dependant customers!! Right??! hehe! (and you get the free roll of mig wire, can't beat that!)

I'd frame it!! Telstra and $0 printed on the same piece of paper, its got to be a misktake.

The welding flyer is just too funny!!

Ha! I love it. I have had bills for $0.00 from Telstra before. I once also had one that kept being delivered to say that I was 2 cents in credit.

With regard to the February special ... had you considered the wonderful craft possibilities?? You're already handy with the hammer and snap press ... I would have thought a welder was the natural next step.

But blue cordial ... now that is just plain wrong!!

I love the blue cordigal! Does it taste good?

Welders are very handy :P Imagine the display stalls you could make for CurlyPops shops at the market.

re: Telstra. They're knobs. That's all I have to say.

Telstra does some strange things. I had a phone connected when I lived out bush. I had the phone on for months (and got bills). Then one month they changed my postal address and sent it to unit 1 when I was unit 5. I never got the bill they disconnected my number and when it sorted they wanted me to pay another reconnection fee when it was their mistake (my dad worked for telstra at the time and got it sorted out for me)

Every quarter I get a bill from Telstra for $1.09. Emblazoned across the front of the bill is a stamp that says NO NEED TO PAY. Give me strength.

Just too funny is right!! I don't think the tax man will require you to keep the telstra invoice but it will tell you when you were connected. Cherrie

SO funny, we got a Telstra bill last week (I was a customer when I first moved in 7 years ago) for -$0.50c! Crazy stuff...

That coridal looks suss

Telstra did that to me too but for my mobile because my plan had ended. Apparently they have to for a month or so after something happens - quite bizarre really!

I can go you one better on the Blueberry cordial. I went over to a mate's place and he had Bubblegum cordial from cottee's :p.

Telstra sent us invoices that said they owed us money for 3+ years until they finally decided to send us a cheque for that amount.

Love the welder ad included with the oxygen. Nice way to keep clients. NOT!

Thanks for the giggles.

Go the free mig-wire! I'm sure you could do something with it. I can see you in a welding mask ;)

Just watch out Telstra don't start sending you reminder and disconnection notices.

hehee, I feel bad saying it but I used to work at telstra & I STILL do not understand the things they do!
so when is your new welder getting delivered :)

That's just the first $0 bill you will get from Telstra, they'll keep sending one until you pay! Trust me, it happened at my house. Blue cordial is really very, very wrong.

gosh keep that cordial away from the kids next time you are babysitting! that would not be fun

I do love that flyer though, hilarious!

I too have had the monthly letter from Telstra telling me that I'm 2c in credit. Then I moved house, disconnected my phone and didn't re-connect (or change my address with them). They're probably still sending the monthly letter to my old address. What a waste of paper!

The Telstra bill is bizarre but, sadly, true to their form! We once had one for $0.01. Really. Could they not have just "absorbed" the ONE cent?

The SupaGas is a hilarious case of bungled marketing! If you require additional oxygen for a medical problem you probably aren't going to be going wild in your garage doing some DIY.

Hilarity!

And yes telstra and me are on first name basis trying to get my internet working and saying on...
I am positive that I will still be charged for the weeks that I wasn't online thou...

I had a bill from Telstra saying they owed ME $12, with a note underneath saying that it would be credited to my next account. Problem was, I'd left Telstra. 3 months and many phonecalls later, I finally got my money back...hopeless!

What do you mean you aren't going to be welding?? Tsk! That cordial looks just like antifreeze - bet you don't need much of that in your car in Australia!

I keep getting a telstra bill for $1.10 with 'Payment is not required' written on it. When I called them and asked them to stop sending them to me because it was a waste of paper, they said they couldn't stop it unless I paid it. Such is the expected stupidity and illogical nature of telcos. Grrrrrrrrrrrr....

Ohh Telstra...what would we do without you?? We used to get bills addressed to "Lord (Insert partner's name) Cooper"...which were hilarious...how could they come up with this title?...unfortunately they cottoned on and I never kept the bills with said *title*... however welding sounds fun for a new hobbie??? Maybe not on second thoughts!
