Seasonal

 My old kitchen

My hands are all wrinkly today as I've been Spring Summer Re-arranging and Cleaning...

I'm suffering from a severe lack of storage / preparation space in my kitchen, after going from the beautiful big kitchen at my old house, to a seriously small kitchen with hidden corners, and hardly any bench space.

I don't use the kitchen much anymore, except for making lots of cups of tea and coffee, and quite a bit of toast with vegemite or jam, so I decided that I needed a little space just dedicated to this.

I ordered myself a small appliance pantry to sit on top of the cupboard where I used to have the microwave. I was able to find the perfect match for the existing kitchen, but I wasn't able to order the doors until I'd decided the heights of the adjustable shelves inside.

I think I'll probably live with it for a month or so before I finally make a decision.... in the meantime, I'm thinking that I should probably find somewhere a little bit less visible for the tins of cat food!

It's looking good Cam. Look forward to having a cuppa out of your new appliance pantry on my return.

The computer is treating me very well btw, and we look very stylish out to dinner together with the fabulous case.

How did you leave the last kitchen behind?? As my family grows (not in number but size) i love that we keep moving to bigger kitchens!! Mind you, our latest house in Canberra has very limited cupboard space, i store anything not used weekly in the linen cupboard in the laundry. At least our dinner plates fit in the cupboards - one Army family has to store their dinner plates in the hall cupboard!! Love Posie

hehee, I thought you had a milo addiction too!
at least your cat likes that, my mum's cats are sooo fussy only whiskers will do.

Maybe in 35 years or so you'll appreciate having the cat food so close to the toaster and teapot! Mmmm, cat food.... (jokes!!)

I long for a large airy kitchen like your old one... we're bursting at the seams here... not even a nifty little unit like that pantry cupboard would save us.
btw love the catfood display - I thought it was Milo too!

I actually like the cupboard open like that without doors - even with the cat food on show!

OMG! Your old kitchen is too die for. Not that I need that big a kitchen for little old me, but I too have gone from a brand new modern kitchen to something well, smaller, older and a little less attractive.

Good things come to those who wait though apparently....and I'm still waiting!
