Sunny Sunday
Bec and her Little Miss popped in for a crafty playdate thisafternoon.
We had a wonderful time drinking cups of tea and eating home made (by Little Miss) raspberry bundt cake with double cream.... mmmmm
I dragged out all of my vintage self covering buttons kits and Bec made these cute little animal buttons for me.
I gave Little Miss her new brooch which she loved, and then decided to make a few more in random colours.
I also managed to do quite a bit of cutting to whip up some Gadget Pouches and Sunnies/Specs Pouches...
including some beautiful new Kokka fabrics that I bought at The Retromummy Shop last week.
....and in super exciting breaking news, Liz emailed to let me know that she spotted one of my brooches in The Age - M Magazine today in an article about Dear Gladys. I didn't buy The Age today - did anyone else see it?

Oh dear, I don't usually read the paper on paper. Hope you can find a copy! If you go to a supermarket late on a Sunday night they've often got a pile of the magazine inserts left over.
And congratulations!!
I've got one, will mail it over to you Curly Pops.
Looks like time well spent! Must check the paper for your brooch, good for you!
Gosh it's all happening at your place, great work as always, love Posie
Didn't get the paper today, so if you do get a copy, scan it and put it on the blog for us to see!
yay, exciting!!
sorry didn't get the paper either.
Page 13! Doesn't name the maker of the lovely brooch which is a shame but the shop gets a great review. You'll have to get a copy for the Curly Pops scrap book! xo
I think the random colour brooches are a winner. You could make themin seasonal groups too. Cherrie
That's so exciting about the paper, that's a keeper! Kids craft is so great and button covering is just perfect.
oooo when will the brooches be available??? off to check the store now!
well done! I hope you can find a copy xxx
Thats great , i will have to dig it out when i get home.
I have the fabric you used to make those buttons with, had forgotten but they reminded me!
i saw it ! yay! x
Might be a stupid question but where do you get the little metal bits for the top of your gadget pouches? I've never looked but can you get them at Spotlight or somewhere?
