Reading
High Potential by Bec Carroll - this was a christmas pressie from ex-Mr CP, so I hadn't started reading it until now. It's actually a great story and I'm about two thirds of the way through.
Great easy read, chick story with a bit of ambition, friendship and love all thrown into the mix.
Eating
Far too much chocolate this month.... I think if I can count back correctly, I must have consumed at least three blocks of Cadbury Peppermint, a bag of Haighs Dark Chocolate Peppermint Frogs, some scrumptious chocolates from Koko Black, about ten small Cadbury bars from my nephews creche fundraising, and I topped it off with the block of Green and Blacks that Jemma sent me!
Then there were also various afternoon tea delights that consisted of tim tams, chocolate teddy bears, and chocolate scotch fingers. There was probably a box of TV snacks in there too.
Making
Lots of small bits of couch crafting during the month. The lurgy hit and zapped all of my crafty mojo early in the month, but I'm slowly getting back into it. I missed going along to some craft markets because of the lurgy which was a bit disappointing too. With my multiple medical problems, I'm trying to avoid crowds at the moment because the swine flu and the normal flu are on the rampage! I think there'll be quite a bit more couch crafting in front of the foxtel box this coming month.
Watching
I promised myself that I would save money and not get Foxtel installed when I moved.... but watching the drivel on commercial tv was killing me, especially when I was stuck sitting on the couch with the lurgy. My Kruddy bonus finally arrived and I took advantage of the Happy EOFYS sale... so my $900 will pay for approximately 18 months of entertainment.
I've been catching up on all of my favourite shows - Selling Houses Australia, Martha, Various daft craft shows on How To, Suze Orman, Til Debt do us Part, Wife Swap, Come Dine With Me, etc etc (I could go on and on and on).
I'm addicted to Masterchef Australia now too. I love watching the masterclass episodes where they show how simple recipes can be used to create great food.
Now I'm thinking about food.... it's time for some vegemite toast!

You gave me such a good laugh ... I hadn't heard of the payment being called the Kruddy bonus before!! Points off though for putting the Happy EOFYS jingle in my head again. Arrrghhh!
Lovely, lovely brooch, by the way :)
Sounds like you have a sweet tooth - or more. I hope there was other, more healthier fare mixed in.
We are addicted to chocolate and Master Chef too! I guess there are worse vices. Wishing you a healthier June :)
I say keep up the medicinal chocolate and stay away from crowds (you might have to share your chocolate).
I am seriously, seriously, seriously insanely jealous of your ability to put away kilos of chocolate and not show it anywhere. Seriously.
I like it when you share your reading fare. Thank you!
PS - Don't mean to interrupt you during Masterchef.....hehehe!!
Just wanted to say thanks for the gorgeous brooch and keyring. I've been watching your crazy stitching on your blog and was very happy when my swap package arrived.
OK. The brooch has me hooked (pinned?) - I'm over at your shop!
you can never have too much chocolate! :D especially when its Green and Blacks :D
I am reading this while eating a piece of vegemite toast! Although now I wish it would morph into a box of TV snacks... ooh it's been a while since I had those... What were those really small bullet-shaped ones called?
Anyway, lovely list of May-ness. I really really love that brooch... plan is to actually buy one soon.
Wait, there is such a thing as too much chocolate?
woohoo I knew you couldn't stay away for too long! wish I got his bonus but I would have spent it before it arrived
my little girl sings that happy eoyfos song non stop...so annoying!
That is a lot of chocolate. I can feel my fat cells multiplying just reading that list! :p
And I know what you mean avoiding crowds...sickness can turn into a big deal in my family, and add in not only swine flu taking over our town, but a good friend actually getting it, and we have dove for cover. Do NOT want to get that one. Bleh.
(How's the no tv thing going? I'm trying that so far...we haven't bought a new tv, and no cable, and SO far, are surviving. Fingers crossed we can keep it up! Thank God for the internet and Hulu, though! lol)
