No problems, I can have 2 children over there in a flash that will happily suck in their cheeks till it is all gone! Cant guarantee table manners though.

Yum - looks like one serve to me! And I wouldn't have any issues with the family-sized block of chocolate for dessert either.

Mmmm...looks delicious!!!

The great thing about cooking for one, is that you don't have to cook every day! You can just make a recipe, and have it for dinner and lunches over the next few days. Or you can always freeze the leftovers and save it for a later date.

Yum! Looks so delicious!

Freeze the leftovers into "Meals for Cam". It's what I do and it's a lifesaver for days like today when I couldn't be shagged cooking when I get home from work (I'm still at work ... and it's Friday. Poo bum).

Yum, looks like you'll have a few easy nights with that to sustain you! It's not such a bad habit, cooking for too many (as long as you can freeze portions and not just scoff it all in one night!).

Cooking for one?? You know, I don't think I have done that in...ever. I've never lived without other people. Huh. Jealous. :p

could you post some to Tassie - I'm over cooking this week. Love the heavy bottomed pot too - I need one of those - our jam has, let us say, a smoky flavour on occasions where the stirrer gets jam fatigue

All the wise ones have said what I learned when I went from 5 to 1. Batch it and make Frozen Meals.

They were perfect for taking to work, where I had a micro, and I developed the habit of eating my main meal midday. I usually then came home from work, not starved, and nibbled bits as I made another dinner or not for another day. I started doing a lot of cooking ahead meals back in those days.

It works well now when I'm cooking for 2, and usually make for 4 at least which gives dh two lunches for the week per dinner.

Oh, I wish - it's only one of my favourite dishes! I was too late, dammit.

I often cook for one when he's working a lot, and I can have as much spag bol as my heart desires. But I like to pace it out - can't have too much in a week, you know?

I leave out the pasta... make a whopping huge meat sauce and spoon out 'me-sized' portions into glass or plastic containers for the freezer, then I boil up the spaghetti fresh on the nights when I feel like it. Way to go!

Oh my golly me. We had exactly the same glass mosaic tiles in our last kitchen as the splash back. Now we have used them in our bathroom in this house. Good taste, you and i!
