A Scrappy Ball
A few people had a guess at what I was up to when I posted this photo on Instagram (@curlypops) and used it for Sunday Snippets...
I was lucky enough to be given a copy of Cintia's new My Poppet - Six Baby Gifts to Make with Fabric Scraps e-book.
I had a huge dilemma trying to decide which project to tackle first, but this scrappy ball really tickled my fancy (and there's a completely ingenious tip in the instructions which I can't reveal). Lightbulb moment!
The other thing that tickles my fancy is that I've used all of my own fabric designs, mainly cut from printing swatch samples, or end of print run offcuts.
It really illustrates the difference in how a project can look depending upon the fabric choice.
It's probably appropriate for me to now apologise to any little baby that wants this ball. You're not having it. I'm keeping it!
The details:
There are six projects:
Scrappy Ball
Scrappy Bunny Rattle
Scrappy Chandelier Mobile
Fabric Covered Hangers
Scrappy Bib
Jigsaw Quilt
Everything is really well laid out, easy to read, and well written, and it's available here.
Now I need to decide between the Scrappy Bunny Rattle and the Jigsaw Quilt next...
