My Creative Space & Blogtoberfest

I'm slightly late and disorganised today - the busy week has caught up with me!

In my creative space is my Pin Up Your Doodle submission that I began working on yesterday. I was colouring it in a public space yesterday and someone asked me why the tulips weren't yellow?

Most of this weeks creativity has been dedicated to lots of drawing, and then lots of photoshopping. I'll have new designs for cards, and for fabrics on the way very very soon, which I'm super excited about.

I was printing test cards lastnight when my magenta cartridge ran out (whodathunkit)... so the first mission for today is to buy more ink.

Pop on over to visit Kirsty to play along this week.

In other SUPER EXCITING news..... it's Blogtoberfest Eve!

Make sure that you pop on over and visit this post at Tinniegirl to sign up and play along for the month.

This year I have a separate Blogtoberfest page dedicated to all the giveaways on offer. Just follow the simple instructions to add your giveaway to the list - of course, if there are any problems, just email me: mscurlypops (at) gmail (dot) com

I think that "yellow" person needs to get out more! I love that tulips come in so many different colours!

Wow you run out of magenta ink – how did that happen! Loving the bike design on the screen and loving the new path the sketch book has taken you on. Who would have thought a few months ago you would be up to all this fabric design and card making etc!

I havent ever seen a yellow tulip... perhaps I am just blind to the colour yellow or ignorant of flowers when I pass them....

I ran out of ink yesterday too! Thankgoodness for refills :D

What did you say to the yellow lovin' person? Tulips should always be red in my book...

Maybe they were thinking daffodills. Tulips are generally red in Aus.

Hey Cammy, I can see your doodle! (sorry, really bad Simpsons reference there!) Lovin the doodle, and can't wait to see all your fabricy goodness. It's great to sink your teeth into something new and exciting isn't it?

Just a question on the blogtoberfest giveaway linky. If you have a giveaway each week, do you need to add your link every week? Cheers!

So disappointed I won't be doing the Blogtoberfest. But I should be blogging less over the next little while, not more!! Too much going on with us.

Your designs are looking so good on fabric. I bet you have a load of ideas in your head for what you could do and ways to go with it.x

Tulips are my absolute favourite flowers - in any colour! Do you really only get red ones down under - surely not?! They're famous in the Northern Hemisphere for coming in every imaginable colour (OK - maybe not green!) - the tulip fields in Holland are a visitor attraction in the spring because of the sheer mass of colour.

did you know miss c.p. that when you mass plant tulips the yellow ones bloom first then the red ones followed by something or other. anyway my dad noticed this interesting fact and we often used to chat about which ones were in bloom at a particular time. so, the point of this interesting fact is this. the next time mr or mrs why aren't the tulips red nosey parker person peers over your shoulder to comment on your lovely drawings you just share this fact with them and see how quickly their tulip expert person disuse disappears. phew, glad i got that off my chest
