Sheesh! The days have been flying by around here...
I don't want to be one of those people that keep apologising for not blogging. The truth is that I'm making up for lost time, and I'm trying really hard to get back to work, push forward with my business, do some charity work, keep up my fitness regime, and spend lots of time with family and friends. It seems that blogging might take a little back of a back seat to all of that now.
.....then Spotlight (they weren't too impressed with that), the toy shop...
.... and to see Tom and Jerry and then make maraccas at the Tom and Jerry craft table!
After lunch we went for a little bike ride, before heading to the local park.
So as the boys were riding their bikes around the lake at the park, and I was walking along minding my own business and listening to music, a huge labrador ran straight at me and hit me in the legs. It completely knocked my feet out from under me, and I landed directly on the concrete path, right on my coccyx.
I ended up getting carted off to hospital in an ambulance, and spent five hours waiting in emergency to see a doctor and get an x-ray to make sure I had no fractures.
If it didn't hurt so much, it would have been bloody hilarious!
But now I'm thinking, on such a beautiful day, there were hundreds of people at the park (school holidays), why on earth did that dumb dog choose me?

Oh Cam you poor thing!
hope you feel better soon and your backside isn't too bruised....
Oh no! Broken-Bottom-osis!! Hope that you are feeling better. I think the dog chose you because he thought it would make him famous (hence your blog post ;))
Ouch. Hope your tush is feeling better!
It was obviously an Act of Dog.
(Boom tish)
Hope you're backside stops hurting soon!
Oh Cam that's terrible, if mildly amusing!! A friend of mine had her nose broken when her lab ran up to greet her! Sturdy animals those labs.
After such a lovely day that was a horrid thing to happen...hope you are Ok and able to keep up with all those wonderful goals of yours. xx
So glad that it turned out ok, if all you got out of it was a sore butt for a few days! And I love to see you not blogging. And not instagramming, and not tweeting, it means you're out there LIVING! Much love to you Cam, xx
glad nothing is broken! still hurts to fall like that tho :/
you dont need to apologise ever for not blogging. making up for lost time is way more important then making blog posts!
Glad to hear that you're ok. Dogs can be stupid. One of ours is on the council naughty list for making a go at someone. I was mortified and keep him on a tight leash now.
Oh dear, poor you! So glad you didn't have a fracture, how annoying and hampering that would have been for your new lifestyle. The nephews must be set to dog watch for you next time!
Labradors have no sense of personal space and I have been knocked into at the dog park by them so many times! Glad to hear it wasn't too bad.
That's the silly thing about tail bones- you don't really need them or even know they are there until you land on them , then it bloody hurts! And the problem with Labradors is that they are generally built like bricks on legs! Even if you couldn't laugh about it maybe the ambos (in the middle of their pay dispute) might have had a smile about it!
Oh dear! I'd have thought you'd seen enough of the hospital for one year. Labradors aren't the cleverest dogs - I trust its owner is suitably contrite and planning on controlling it better in future.
Hope the bruises are healing and you can sit down comfortably!
Ouch! you poor thing : (
What a terrible end to a lovely day.
Hope you are on your feet soon Cam.
Nup, never apologise for not having time to blog, cuz that, dear Cam, is what we all wished for you.
Labradors -- cute but stupid. Hope your butt bone is all healed.
*passes soft cushey pillows and a fresh milo*
Ouch, what a rotten end to a day that seemed to be going so well. I hope your bruising fades quickly and you are back out and about very quickly.
I am so sorry that you have a sore coccyx. I fell on polished floorboards 20+ years ago and broke it so badly that I had to have it surgically removed. Not pleasant. My advice to you is to use a donut cushion and try not to sit in the same position for too long until your 'bottom' is healed.
I know that Dog is God spelt backwards, but I think the Lab responsible for your pain was the devil in disguise.
I hope you get to have another fun day with your nephews soon. Just think, you gave them both something to share for 'Show and Tell' when they get back to school!
