The Birtskag
Liesl came up with the name Birtskag earlier this week..... and I haven't been able to get it out of my head ever since, just like those rascally robots that have been singing Stayin' Alive on high rotation inside my brain.
This was a longer skirt with a sheer embroidered overlay.....
I love the combination of purple and red together....
So I decided on red stitching on the purple strap.
More birtskags are on the horizon....

Love the bag... the name sounds a bit like an IKEA name... something I can never quite pronounce! Sounds like lots of fun yesterday.
Cheers to you!
very cool idea...nice big bag...
I immediately thought of the Birkin bag- you know how they name bags at Chanel etc. Everyopne will want their own Birtskag!!
Did LOTS of binding unpicking last niaght, might need to straighten the edges a bit better!
Birtskag !!! Love it !! it does indeed sound a little IKEA-esque.
yep- very IKEA- but who doesn't love IKEA!!!???
Another dreat effort Cam! I agree with the Ikea-esque-ness of it too - very clever!
Great name , great bag !
I really love the outer fabric on this birtskag Cam! And yes, it does sound like an Ikea word. Or a Ukranian insult...
Very clever, the bag and name both :)
I still think that Birtskag was the surname of one the girls in Abba!
Love your latest Birtskag - it looks fabulous. I think these are going to be as big as teatowel aprons. Can't wait to see more!
Oh now that is beautiful - love the idea of turning skirts into bags :)
'Birtskag' - why not? It makes anything seem possible. Keep those creative juices flowing.
