Everyone seemed to think that I bought myself a chook or a ute!
I couldn't possibly bring home a chook to my tiny little backyard full of weeds.... and I don't think the cat would be impressed either.
I did actually buy myself this very beautiful fire screen made from recycled corrugated iron. All of the flower petals have been individually cut and riveted together to form the flowers. I just couldn't leave it behind....
No I don't actually have an open fire requiring a fire screen - I'm going to remove the legs and use it as an outdoor piece of hanging art in my little (currently completely souless) outdoor alcove area. My outdoor setting has been made using a silver metal frame and recycled black plastic fake wood looking stuff that lasts forever, so the black and silver corrugated iron will match perfectly.
For now, my little fire screen is on holidays. I'll take a better photo when it finally arrives!

This is going to look so nice, perfect curly pops pattern too, how could you walk away
Isn't the man clever to use an old medium and make such a modern grouping. I love it. Cherrie
Oh so pretty. I've never seen a screen like that before.
I love iron and metal art, very raw and I love the way that it ages as it gets older. Are you going to plant some creeping vine around it?
I love how you think beyond what you can see. It would have been easy to dismiss this as "gorgeous but I don't have a fire place". I am sure it will look amazing... just as you have pictured it in your head.
Wow, that's going to look fantastic in your alcove. I just love stuff fashioned from corrugated iron ... what a beautiful piece of art!
Oh you know I so wanted it to be a goat ~! However that screen will be great as outside art.
Fab find...Will look great in the courtyard...
There is a artist in town that does this sort of work...she have a few major works in town as well as exhibitions in sydney...
I do recall a post I put up with a pic of one of there murals...
Love it!
That will look perfect in an outdoor area. Well spotted!
It is quite lovely and will certainly jazz up your outside
I quite like metal art too... I like how people can create something beautiful out of sumething old and tarnished.

I wouldn't usually say that this is my sort of thing, but I really, really like it. I think it will be fab in your courtyard.

I'm a huge fan of corrugated iron. The more rustic the better.
Coming across that market stall would have been pure delight for me.
Your find will be stunning in your courtyard - or anywhere.
