I am not a Crochet Master!

I had a lovely time at Brown Owls on Monday night. Jess and Aunty Pat tried to teach me how to crochet but I'm going to need lots and lots of practice!

Luckily we had some other crochet masters on our table who were extremely helpful when I got stuck so a special thankyou to Steph and Lara and to Corrie who helped me to get started. It was also lovely to see Libby and Christie again and to meet Jess who was all the way from Canberra! In the photo above, the owls nest and the granny square were created by Steph. My crochet talents only extended to the sad looking mis-shapen blue piece of double crochet!

Thanks to all the Brown Owls girls for another wonderful night out!

You have got to start somewhere and it all takes practice! You look like you are off to a flying start. The colours look great in the variegated one.

Yes, practice makes perfect. You are such a talented, crafty gal. I am sure that in no time you will be a highly accomplished "hooker"!!!

I am not a crochet master either grasshopper, bearing in mind the owl nest was supposed to be a granny square! And the granny square is chockas with mistakes too. ahhaha! Ah yes, our crocheting will improve...the more we do it...
And I'm gonna buy some of that coloured yarn tomorrow. Love!!

Brown Owls sounds so fun. I wish we had something like that here in Canada. Getting to meet all these crafty ladies in person and making beautiful crafts. **sigh**

Looks like you are on a rock'en start for your crocheting.
Practice makes perfect.
Cheers

Thanks Ms Curly Pops! I found it VERY hard not knowing anyone in the room, was super-nervous, and not very chatty, but loved being able to put faces to names! Lovely to meet you too!
