This is one of the vintage pillowcase that I bought from the op shop a few months ago. So I decided to try out the pillowcase bag.
I just cannot follow instructions properly......it clearly said to fold the pillowcase lengthways. I folded it widthways!!! So I guess I need to find a new project for a slightly chopped up pillowcase.....
Anyhow, I didn't give up so easily......Kirsty was nice enough to email me some extra instructions (maybe they should be called 'the instructions for the instructionally challenged')........and after raiding the linen cupboard to find another pillowcase to chop up......this is what I ended up with.
It's certainly not as pretty as a lovely vintage floral pillowcase, but I was way too scared to try again with a pillowcase that I loved. Now I can go op shopping in search of some pretty pillowcases to make some more. This will fold up perfectly to put inside a handbag to use at the supermarket instead of those ugly green bags. I think I'll probably give this one to my mum once I make another one for myself.

Great effort!
It looks great Cam. Good on you for persisting. Save that chopped up one. There are a couple of projects at the end of the week that call for you to get hacking with the scissors. I think you'll like them.
looks great! good to see you're still enjoying making bias binding...
I am the same! Yah you make me feel human, I am a shocker with the instructions on patterns. But I think we are extra clever when we work it out without the pattern?!
nice 2nd attempt!
Great job!!!! Hey, at least you got it on the second try, It probably take me a few more!
Your bag looks great!!! Now that you've got the pattern sorted you can make one out of pretty floral fabric..
Jodie :)
Looks fab! With any pattern, I always find I need to make the pattern a couple of times before I fully get the hang of it. The other one could definitely be used for smaller baggie/coin purse projects. yeah.
