My creative space

Not much has been happening this week, but I have finally decided on my theme for the quilt project.

Each night this week, I've dedicated my couch and tv time to a little bit of quiet hand stitching in red. Slowly, but surely, it's beginning to take shape.

I haven't had a giveaway in a really long time, so if you can guess what my stitching is going to become, I'll send you a mystery gift. I hope it's not too blatanly obvious just yet!

In other creative news, I bought myself a new little pressie..... a mini HP notebook. Perfect for a bit of blog surfing, and facebooking, and online shopping on the couch. It only weighs 1.2 kilograms, and once I've made a spiffy new padded laptop cover, I'll be able to just pop it into my handbag and take it wherever I need to go.

I was always terrible at guessing what Mr Squiggle was drawing! Whatever it is the start of, it is starting to look beautiful. Very 'you' to incorporate doilies into the design.

And yahoo for presents your yourself. You chose so well!

It looks amazing - I love it! What are the doily things made of? Have you stitched all of them by hand or are they felt? Just amazing! Congratulations on your new laptop - very cute :) K

I love your square - it looks like it's going to be a doiley, made up of smaller doilies, but it could easily be something else ... hmmmm ... looking forward to seeing what!

Hmmm... not sure what it could be, but I love it so far :)

I love it, the red is glorious. Are you making a big doiley?! (Haven't read the other comments so someone has probably already suggested this!)

Your use of mini doileys in the stitching project is most inspired! My guess is that it is going to be a clock.

Ok, I take back my previous comment cuz I remembered that, duh, you won't be making any of those things cuz this is a quilt square. So...the redwork is going to become....I'm still stumped! But I can't wait to see it!

Gorgeous redwork!! And congrats on your new laptop, I have a huge soft spot for new technology which is completely at odds with my love for history. But how fab to be able to whip that out whenever, wherever.

Congrats on the new laptop. I wouldn't know what I would do without one. I guess I'm really adicted :S

The stitching is gorgeous, by the way. I love all the red on white we're seeing these days. What could it be you are making? A clock maybe?
