Fabric Addiction

This photo is probably 1/10th of my fabric stash.
.
Today I want to go to Spotlight and buy myself a sidewinder. I DO NOT, (repeat DO NOT) need any more fabric......
.

I have more fabric than I could ever use and I DO NOT need any more. I WILL NOT buy any more while I am there (even if it's really cute and cheap and it was in the remnant bin).

.

Do you think I have the willpower?

You're probably walking out the door as I type this, in fact ... you're probably in Spotlight this very minute! So if you are in any way telepathic you will heed this virtual message: "Be strong! Be strong!" Walk straight past the fabric section, go pick up a sidewinder and purchase it at the front counter with all the sheets and boring bits (well, there's no such thing as boring bits in Spotlight really, is there?) and go straight back to the car, key in ignition and DRIVE. No looking back, no U-turn at the roundabout.

Best of luck with your mission.

I have started taking a shopping list to Spotlight so that I have no excuse to deviate away from it... Sometimes it works.

Spotlight is a very very dangerous place... :) I find it very difficult to enter without buying something while I am there!

If you're like me, you have NO CHANCE of going in there and not buying some more fabric. I know that I can't do it...

But bet you buy some great stuff...

Good luck! If you do come home without any fabric, you are a stronger woman than me!

Can't wait to see what you think of the sidewinder, I think I need one too. Stay strong on the fabric

How did you go - any of those lovely Japanese prints find their way into your basket??

Oh I wish you good luck! It will be very hard - but stay strong!

I've just spent the past week in Bundaberg, staying at a place across the road from Spotlight. And I didn't go in there once. I'm so proud of myself. I feel like a smoker who has resisted a cigarette!!

Wow. That's an impressive collection. There are definitely worse addictions you could have though. And just think some day in about 30, 40 or 50 years someone is going to say "my nan/my aunt/my mum's friend's... had the most amazing fabric collection. Check out the vintage haul I just scored". See you are not only doing yourself a favour but generations to come after you. Think of it as a duty rather than a bad habit!!!

I suffer the same addiction and I have yet to find a cure or find discipline!

How can you resist $2/m fabrics???????? MMMM only to avoid Spotlight all together :) At least yours looks neat and is stacked in nice piles.

Oh, I envy your beautiful and neatly stacked piles of potential prettiness, do not be afraid of the fabic addiction, at least it makes you look and feel pretty in the end! (but nice work on not caving in to the big bad Spotlight!)

My Mum came to visit and went through my fabric stash on my sewing table...later on that day she opened the hallway cupboard and said 'Oh my God'. Need I say anymore. Think I need Fabric Anon.
