Woo Hoo! I can knit!

It's been an extremely busy weekend so there's been no time for any crafting.....but I did manage to squeeze in a little bit of knitting time while I was sitting on the couch late at night.

I'm about half way through my new scarf.....I like the way the yarn has different textures and is uneven widths. When I first showed Mr CurlyPops my knitting feat, he was literally lost for words........he thought all the knobbly bits were caused my my crappy knitting and he was too scared to say anything! I had to show him the yarn and explain that it's supposed to have knobbly bits!

There will be lots of babysitting in my house this week so all I'm hoping to do is to finish the scarf by the end of it. My sewing room is also the spare kids bedroom for the week so the sewing machine is going to feel very unloved by the end of it!

Well done on the knitting! That wool looks super soft - just the thing now the colder weather is here! Hope you don't get sewing withdrawals this week - that will be me next week when my sewing room gets taken over by guests!

Well done! I love that Rustica, and made a cardy from it a couple of years ago. In a fit of "i'll never wear that out of the house" I gave it to Salvos, and bemoan that fact every cold morning here in ACT! Gorgeous scarf - you are on a roll!

Your scarf is looking great! I am currently knitting with a thick/thin yarn, and it really is so much fun isn't it!!!

Had to have a laugh at your husbands remarks-how sweet of him to not say anything about the knobbly bits! It is looking great and will be so warm and cosy to wear and the cold weather is well and truly on its way so you'll need it

Well done you!! I do love that grey too. That's funny - M would've said the same thing: "Is it supposed to be like that?" It looks great. I've never tried to knit in my life and always wondered just how difficult it would be... great job!
