I'm cheating a little today because this is actually what I was wearing yesterday..... and I was super excited because I worked out how to use the self timer on my camera. So no more waiting for someone to visit so I can talk them into snapping a few photos for me.After my slightly disastrous skirt making efforts a few weeks ago, I found this one (which is very similar in style), at the Salvos. The thing that I love the most about it, is that it has very groovy pockets. I have a pocket obsession.... I won't wear things without pockets and I would never buy a pair of pants or shorts that didn't have pockets.

That's funny about the pockets - I think I am a pocket person too. I made a pair of pants a few weeks ago and they didn't have pockets ... and I haven't worn them once! Maybe I should add some to the side seam - sdo some unpicking. They are really lovely pants!
Wow, cool skirt Cam! Definitely some cool pockets there! How do you find such cool stuff at the Salvos? I reckon that when I go you've already been there and got all the goodies! Lol
The first thing I noticed were those awesome pockets followed by the lovely farbic! You look great!

oh yes everything has to have pockets...love the shape of these groovy ones...they just don't make them like that anymore...

I loved the colours of your made skirt but could see the fit was the biggest problem - I hope you didn't manage to fit into it.
If I had seen that skirt at the Salvos I would have had to head-high-tackle you for it. (Actually my op shopping behaviour is really a bit more polite than that and having met me you know it wouldn't fit me!). Its gorgeous. Love the colour, print and fabbo pockets.

That looks beautiful! I always try to make my skirts with pockets, it amazes me that women always have to carry bags and men don't! It's all due to pockets!
My attempts at skirt making have been...interesting...my skirts always end up too short at the back alas! Not a good look!
