Yesterday, it was time for Nico's pants - take 2.First of all, I whipped up a nice comfy pair of trackie dacks. I had a small piece of dark blue fabric, and a small piece of a lighter blue fabric left over from when I made trackie dacks for the twins.
Each piece was only large enough for half a pair, so I combined them..... I'm thinking of making it a hot trend - two toned pants are the new cool!
Next job - I had just enough of this light brown corduroy for one more pair of pants. I made them slightly smaller than the pants from the day before.....
......but they're still a bit too big.Luckily he'll grow into them eventually.

I like his 2 tone pants. I made all Caleb's pants the same length that was just perfect and he grew out of them all at the same time so having a pair that are a little bit longer is not such a bad thing

Little ones can never have enough pairs of trackies to grow into, and the two tone trackies are really nice.
Love the two toned pants - that's a great idea. Of course, if they were being worn over here, they would soon be three or four toned as we introduced grass stains at the knees and splotches of lunch all over.

These are great-looking pants. Did you use a pattern? Still trying figure out how to make pants for my boys. My 2-yo is also of the stocky-legged variety.

The pants look just great, and the boys will be growing more length than width for a long time, so they will soon be perfect! - I used to buy twice the length of fabric needed and get three pairs of pants or pyjama bottoms made of it.
