My creative space

.... is a little bit dreary today

After a few days of sunny mornings, today I woke up to hear rain on my tin roof (which of course made me want to curl up and go straight back to sleep).

A half finished handbag next to the sewing machine - exactly where I left it lastnight.
Made using a vintage kitchen curtain from the oppy, and some cotton drill for an adjustable strap (with antique brass oblong rings and tri-glide).

I'm hoping to finish it off today some time.

The home of creativity.

At least the colours you are working with are bright and sunny, even if the day is not.

I think my mum had kitchen curtains like that once. :) Great sunny colours.

We really could do with a drop of rain, send it up here! :)

I am usually very much an anti-orange kinda gal, but this fabric really jumps at me, looks very warming.

Mmm, curling up under the covers with the rain on the roof - bliss! Especially if we don't HAVE to be anywhere else! Looks like the sun has broken through again now though - enjoy!

Yes...the rain was a bit of downer today. Still...you've managed classic Cam brightness. xx

Don't let the dreary outsides into your creative space. Look around at the brightness you are creating. I hope this late afternoon sunshine has helped lift your spirit.

Cool fabric. I love refashioned/repurposed fabric - it makes me very happy! I know what you mean about the weather this morning too - if it wasn't for a very persistent 2.5 year old, I may have not got up until lunchtime!

What a glam bag!!

How about that? I have an almost identical curtain in "the green colour-way". It looks fabulous as a bag. And I'd recognise those tri-glides anywhere!
