The Choose Your Own Bag Adventure Sew-Along

Hear Ye, Hear Ye! It's time to sign up to the next sew-along.

I decided to make this one a 'Choose Your Own Adventure' type sew-along as I'm quite particular when it comes to bags. I probably have around twenty, and they all suit me in different ways. I'm a bit like Goldilocks and the Three Bears. I have to choose the right bag to suit the right occasion.

I'm aiming to make at least two bags during the month. I desperately need a new Baguette, and a new Backpack Bag (I'm going to base it on the one in Nikki's You Sew Girl book but just make it larger).

If you're looking for a pattern, I have a whole shop full of gorgeous You Sew Girl Bag Patterns, but you can sign up and make any bag your heart desires!

I used my Illustrator practice (combined with a bit of Photoshop) to make a button. You can right click and save it (it's 200px), or use the code:

Here's the sign up list:

Don't forget to upload photos to the Flickr Group once your bag is finished so that we can all see the beautiful new creations!

I'm in! I've had a Mod bag cut out for a couple of months (so long that I can't quite remember what variation I was intending to sew) and this is the perfect incentive. Thank you!

I'm in like Flynn! Might make one or two for the present stash (which I may then steal haha)

I've been watching your sew along projects for a little while and have thought this a wonderful thing. I just might do this one. I'll have a think about the sort of bag I want - maybe a tote, or a little hand bag...

As if I want another bag, but it's Olympic Fever and let's all get in and have a go. p.s. I am off to your cafe with the fairy floss and popping corn next Friday, looking forward to the meal.

After my complete failure at the skirt sew along I'm determined to get through this one! I'm going to find the easiest bag pattern possible in an over the shoulder type style and have a go.

You gave me 2 chances ie 2 whole months) with the skirt sewalong and I got an "F". Even already hadone cut out and still didn't get it sewn up.

But I need a cross body bag for my up and coming overseas adventure so I am in. Hmmmmm. Should I officially sign up or wait till I actually know that I am going to pass this time? ;)

Awesome! I wish I'd seen this sooner. I am super busy this month, but I will do my own little sew along next month by myself.

I didn't see a date that this closes. Am I blind? This is such a great idea!! Thanks for hosting!
