Compo!

Who do I talk to about compo around here? I've been sewing in a frenzy all morning, and so far I've managed to burn myself with the iron, cut my hand with a rotary cutter and stick myself with pins! Sewing is a very dangerous sport.......

Oh dear, as part of the curly pops for sewing cheersquad I feel partly resposible. I will have to take out and insurance policy for compo immediately. I think a nice cup of tea may heal any ailments.

Shit I heard the workers compo officer is a bitch and the company has a bad rep for rarely paying out!

At least you didn't get distracted and stitch your finger with the Singer... Like I did once. That was an episode I find hard to admit to!
What gorgeous fabrics, are they pot holders? I love them. xx Liz

Have you filled out your Workplace Incident Form and submitted it to your supervisor?

Sounds like you need to speak to the O.H.& S. committee. I hope the first aid officer was on hand to tend to the injuries!!

Oh dear - better take a crafting break before you end up in hospital ;) Better go catch up on some of your old posts, been a while since I've looked at any blogs!

Yip I think you need a break, go and have a cup of tea and a choccie biscuit.

I did manage once to burn my knee with the iron.

Yes but look at the results-looking good-wounds and all!

I'm only going back to sewing if a home economics crisis requires a lot of pairs of happy pants to be crafted quickly...

Amazing how much injury results in a room full of soft goods...

Sewing is a bit of an extreme sport for me too. I injure myself every time.
Good thing knitting is much less risky - although a I do have a callous on my thumb caused by over doing it.
I love the orchid - just beautiful

I'm just cracking up at all the comments you've received on this one. Classic! Hope the burns and cuts heal nicely.

Fantastic fabric in this pic - just totally in love with the spotty binding. What are these creations? Are they going in the new shop?
