Knitting.....part 2

Look! It's amazing! I actually managed to knit few rows (and apart from some lumpiness at the beginning, it doesn't look so bad)!

Aunty Pat returned to Brown Owls last night to teach us knitting beginners. She taught a really easy way to cast on using our thumbs (I just hope I can remember it).

I had to really concentrate so that I didn't drop any stitches, but at least this was easier than crochet (for me anyway).......

.....and then lucky me ...... I won one of the door prizes! This gorgeous zippered clutch purse made from vintage fabric. I love the contrast of the green material with the red zipper!

Oh well done on the door prize! I love the little birdies. In fact I'm about to run off to the museum to draw some (from dead, the stuffed ones!).

I'm glad the fabric arrived safe and sound!

Now you can come and knit with me at Federation Square on Knitting in Public day!!

You knitting looks very good! When I first started knitting I managed to drop stitches and pick up stitches without even noticing lol. I would count them at the end and realise that instead of 40 I had 43 or something lol.

Ooh, that fabric in the purse is GORGEOUS !! I'm funny because I find crocheting easier than knitting, probably because I'm left handed.

I wanted to join Brown Owls too but missed out as all the places filled out.

If Eurovision was all serious, and had no silly acts in them, I couldn't watch it.. But because it contains so many tacky moments, I love it.

I remember my first knited item. It was terrible. I made everything too tight so ever stitch was a struggle to get it off the kneedle!

I can't knit or crotchet - so all knitting impresses me . Yours look great.

This knitting deal is just so hip. Dropped stitches and all (of which I have a few).

Great door prize. I may need to make myself one of those.

I am so sad I am a pathetic knitter (can only just do the very very basic knit, and that's at a push) and with crochet... well, hey, I can chain at that's it. My Nanna says "i don't understand why you can't do it - it's so easy!" I need brown owls!
