Numb

So I got my huuuuuge filling replaced, and half my face and tongue were numb all afternoon. I was even talking with a lisp...it was rather amusing!
The only thing I could find in the house to eat for lunch was shortbread biscuits (hot tip: these are from Aldi and they are delicious), and a cup of tea through a straw so I wouldn't dribble it all out...

After making the first lot of bookmarks, Julia commented that they would also make great wristbands....
I might try a skinnier version next.

What a great idea! I saw the bookmarks too and think they are fabulous.

Poor Ms. Poppet! I hope your numb face stops soon, even if only for the sake of better biscuit consumption. Beautiful bracelets!

Oh, that's the worst feeling. I think you were very brave chomping on a shortbread though ... if were me I would have chewed through the inside of my cheek doing that.

I adore your wristband - what a sensational idea. I was given a couple of wristbands years ago (they used velcro closures - snaps are heaps better) and they had lots of sparkly things embroidered onto them. You could put some of your button flowers on them?

I hate the numb mouth feeling. It's right up there with laughing gas. I was having two wisdom teeth out once, and was cracking up. The dentist had to ask me to stop laughing as he was giving me a needle as well - and had never had someone laughing in the middle of a needle before. I hate mouth things. At least it's over and done with. No dentures for you!

Poor babe...must have been like having gruel. However, that would have been nice gruel. Glad it's over and you still have your choppers.

Aw, ouch. I need a filling, too, and am NOT looking forward to it. :(

On the bright side...Aldi's shortbread is edible?? That's good news. We've been trying out Aldi's lately, and haven't been impressed with most of what we've gotten so far. But I persevere...I WILL get a cheap shopping list down! lol

I hope your mouth is recovering! Love the INXS coffee cup! HUbby has been trying out the cheap Aldi shop option - they have wicked chocolate chip cookies and curly fries too... :)

Coool! Dare I tell you that I have seen wristbands that double up as money bands? you sew a zip and a pocket into them, outside or in. So they are like a bumbag for wrists!!! Great for nightclubbing when you don't want to take a bag. OK .. I'll shut up now. xx Thanks for the link!!
